ORGATEC 2024 showed how cutting-edge working environments are being designed today and in the future. From Work Culture Festival From the IBA to the numerous innovative product presentations in the areas of furniture, lighting and acoustics, there was a lot to discover.

With goconut, our team had the honor of attending Orgatec for the first time. Under our trade fair motto “Create Your Workplace Experience” We shared our idea of a good office & work experience with the visitors in Hall 9 — the response was overwhelming!

Highlights of Orgatec 2024

The social office is on the rise

This year's trade fair made it clear that the office is increasingly becoming a “social office” and is perceived as a social meeting place and hub of corporate culture. More than ever, it's about creating places that bring people together and foster a strong sense of community.

Digital tools as the backbone of decentralized work

In line with this, there was another trend that is entirely in the spirit of goconut: Digital solutions that enable decentralized work are now widely accepted. More and more companies recognize the potential of SaaS solutions like ours to support the flexibility and efficiency of the modern working world.

Hospitality in the office is still in vogue

Another highlight was the increasing sense of comfort in the office: the choice of colours, materials and furniture that radiate comfort are conquering the office. This approach not only creates well-being, but also supports an open and inviting atmosphere for hybrid work.

Sustainable materials & circular economy are increasing in the office sector

Finally, the topic of sustainability also came into focus — a concern that is also very important to us as a company. The various facets in which sustainable approaches have become visible show that responsible action is becoming increasingly important in workspace design.

Our experiences at the fair

As a new exhibitor at Orgatec, we had high expectations — and they were exceeded! The high quality of the discussions and the many visitors impressed and encouraged us.

Workplace management is a must in 2025

The topic of workplace management and its benefits has reached the mainstream, which gives us a positive view of the coming year. The topics of sensors and digital signage are very popular with some companies, while others require a lean solution.

In particular, the in-depth dialogues on topics such as workplace management tools, efficient use of resources and sustainable office design show that goconut is in line with the current and future requirements of the working world. Many visitors were interested in how gococonut was a central tool to support the return to the office and at the same time optimize the use of the premises.

Our role in the Interstuhl Group

As part of the Interstuhl Group, we presented our holistic concept for New Work projects at ORGATEC, which ranges from creating digital planning principles to managing desk sharing:

  1. Mobile mapping of buildings with intensor: Intensor creates a digital twin and 3D models using a full scan of the building. This provides a precise starting point for further planning.
  2. Analysis of working methods by goconut: While scanning is in progress, gococonut can be used directly in existing buildings to collect reliable data on office and room usage, home office rates and meeting occupancy. This data serves as a supplement to the needs analysis and provides valuable insights for subsequent planning.
  3. Holistic planning by workplace consultants: In the next step, workplace consultants create a tailor-made room plan based on workshop findings. The focus is on the individual needs of the company in order to find a tailor-made solution for all areas of the office.
  4. Product delivery and assembly: Using the Color & Trim process, the optimal products are selected and delivered to the office. These are carefully set up and integrated.
  5. Final integration into goconut: At the end of the planning process, the high-quality 3D renderings can be uploaded to goconut. There, they are supplemented with all booking information so that all employees are able to move around and book in the new space easily and easily.
  6. Management and optimization by goconut: goconut finally takes over the management of the new office space and resources. With its space analytics, the platform provides valuable foundations for continuous optimization of office space.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all visitors and our colleagues at Interstuhl! Your interest, valuable insights and great feedback motivate us to continue working to rethink workplace management and make lasting changes to the working world.

We are already looking forward to 2026 and to shaping the future of work with you.

Creating workplace experience.
